The living funeral ceremony is a powerful experiential meditation on mortality (particularly yours) in order to ease death anxiety and reconnect you to your life's richness and vitality. This ceremony is for anyone who will die someday (not necessarily imminently).
We are hosting it at Casa De Luz on Saturday, Nov 4 from 1-3pm. My co-host, Micah and I are both certified end of life doulas.
The ceremony is confronting but gentle and is trauma informed. You can learn more about it and us on our website: ginkgoeol.com Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
We're asking for a $50 donation to cover our overhead, but we do have a couple of $25 sliding scale spots still available if the full fee is a barrier to you.
Here is a testimonial from a previous participant, if you are curious but feeling nervous about the content and tone of the experience:
"It was a ceremony that felt simultaneously new and familiar, daunting and gentle. We built small shrines to ourselves. We wrote some last words. And when the moment was ripe, Katie walked us through our death. Incredibly powerful, beautiful, and whole. If you are looking for a shift, if you are seeking some sort of reset, or if you just want to experience something really cool, I highly recommend you reach out to schedule a living funeral for yourself." - R.T.
