I’ve got a free Saturday coming up and thought it’d be fun to explore a new town somewhere in Eastern Ontario — shop local, maybe grab a bite. Is there a site that lists cool local spots, small cafes, or community shops worth checking out?

This is perfect — thank you! I’ve been planning to do more day trips and I really wanted to check out places that don’t pop up in tourist guides. Just bookmarked Eastern Ontario Local, and I’m already seeing some cool little spots to visit. Love it!
Love that idea — day trips around Eastern Ontario are full of potential, especially if you want to keep it local. I usually check out Local Business Directory when I’m planning something spontaneous. It’s packed with listings for local shops, restaurants, cafes, and even cool little boutiques that don’t show up on other apps. I’ve found some real hidden gems that way — like a tiny coffee shop in Gananoque I never would’ve known about. It’s also great for finding community events or one-off seasonal spots. If you want to turn your weekend into a mini “support local” tour, this site’s a great companion. Way more interesting than just going wherever Google Maps takes you.
